Thanks for the offer Jarrod. I wrote that piece while in a state of depression, I am slightly better now. The reason for the depression is the realization that Covid-19 will infect 60-80% of the population, regardless of government inaction. My only hope is that the longer I stay 'well', the better the treatment will be. I don't anticipate a 'cure' or vaccination in the next 6 months, but a better understanding by the clinicians of how to mitigate the disease once hospitalized.
I have Myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS) which means my bone marrow has a problem in producing blood components. My platelet count is hovering just above the point where I would need infusion on a twice a week schedule. As it is, I get a blood test every 2-3 weeks.
MDS also means a low red and white cell count. The lower red cell count keeps me short of breath and tired. The low white cell count means that I don't fight infections very well. Just over a year ago, I developed stasis from a bladder infection. 10 days in ICU, and I don't want to do that ever again!!
If you know someone who needs a station wagon for delivering supplies, I would be happy to volunteer the car. I could be the driver, but could not handle the items.
I was waiting for Spring to replace the front rotors and calipers.
