While I do have a soft spot for them both, I tend to gravitate more towards rear-wheel drive cars so the older volvos tend to be more my bag. I unfortunately have had limited experience with SAAB, and the one 900 (a 92) that I've ever owned was a former autocross car that was, despite extensive suspension work and modifications, still absolutely terrible in the twisties, so my perception is probably skewed lol. I also prefer the crisper feel of the 240's gearbox- a little that that for me is important. Both great cars, to be sure, but I'd almost always take the Volvo.
