ANSWER SU question 120-130

The red plastic jets I have seen are all for horizontal applications and are .090 orifice. The black ones in the HS6 are .100 orifice.
It sounds like you are running a bit lean, or the float levels are high and sloshing is causing the weak idle after stopping.
If it's rich, it will smell rich.
Check the float levels, and if they are good run the mixture nuts down three flats and drive it. You'll know quick enough if you are on the right track. It's probably an adjustment that will cure it all.
