What year and model?
My 89 740 door panels come off by:
prying off some plastic clips at the bottom
of the door,
and you need to carefully pry off the red plastic lens for the
light at the edge of the door, there's a clip there.
Take off the plastic around the door latch, carefull it breaks easily.
I took off some other trim above the latch, but maybe it could stay?
Then there's some snap clips at the sides of the panel- just carefully pry it out, once the bottom is loose you can push up and out and unplug some
connectors. It's a pain where you sit down, and you will likely break a few clips and be using some colorful language.
A junk yard is a good place to practice this stuff.
