Hi Folks,

I have a 1990 740 GL Wagon that won't turn over with the key in position 3. The key had been sticking in position 3 and all I'd have was the SRS light bot no other electric. I figured that out after a couple of times and would just bump it back to position 2.

After running an errand to the store I came out and the vehicle would not do anything when turned to position 3, even though all electric accessories were fine.

I pulled the green wire off of the starter and ran a wire straight rtom the battery and it turned over and started right up. That led me to rule out the starter so I replaced the electrical portion of the ignition switch with a new part. No joy, it still will not turn over.

Any ideas?
