piston slap 200

"Piston slap" noise is reduced or goes away as the engine warms up. It's caused by excessive tolerances between the piston and it's bore. "Rod knock" gets worse as the engine warms up and there is no mistaking it. Owner's that have it try and hide/reduce it by using heavy straight-weight oil in the engine or summer diesel oils like Rotella-T in the highest viscosity they can find. If you had it, (rod knock) you'd know it!
