Before you start charging it, find any leaks in the system. A shop can charge it and use a sniffer to locate leaks. If the system has been discharged this long, the receiver dryer will have to be replaced in order to recharge the dessicant. Or you can leave a vacuum on the system for some time in order to remove water.
