122s Ignition switch 120-130 1967

Hello,

The cheapest way to proceed is to install an aftermarket ignition switch.

You should be able to find an appropriate ignition switch with keys at most major auto parts stores.

You can retain the stock ignition coil by removing the original ignition switch and armored sheath which is not hard to do.

If you want to keep the original look, new coil assemblies without the ignition tumbler and key are still available new, but expensive at over $600.00.

There is an ebay auction for an NOS coil assembly for $400.00.

Good used coil assemblies are out there too.

But of course you will also have to get a replacement tumbler assembly with keys to make the original style work.

FYI, there were well over 100,000 12 volt 122 Volvos made with this style of coil assembly.
