Did this job on my daughter's 760 turbo years ago. As mentioned, spring compressor required. However, careful use of a pipe wrench make short work of removing and onstalling the gland nuts. Been playing with strut cartridges for nearly 40 years - pipe wrench has worked everytime without damaging the nuts. Biggest unknown as mentioned is 25 years of corrosion - which could result in stuff having to be replaced that, down south or out west, needn't be worried about.
