In my experience the bearings are not so tight fit over the spindle. I say this because during re-installation the front and rear bearings would just slide into the shaft with a few light taps.

Removing them could be a bit of challenge due to RUST. Spray lots of penetrating oil on them. One recent thing I found out is carb cleaner works better than penetrating oil. Only caveat is you have to work fast before it dries out. Or you could repeatedly spray them.

For front bearing you can knock the shaft out of the bearing while bearing is still in front housing. Of course rear housing must be removed first. Later knock the bearing out of front housing after undoing the screws of bearing retainer plate. For rear bearing you could use a puller.
