wow 426- sounds like youve tasted the worst of barracudaism. thought volvo 240 owners were blessed with the absence of this problem. have oiled my hood hinges on the 92 regularly but not sure how effective oiling attempts on cable have been. count your blessings you could be trying to r and r the blower motor. dealers soak you 1 g for this job. regards oldduke
