My 1987 245 wagon still runs great and rides great. But, it suffers from what has been the death of many of these great cars, floor pan rust. I did a pop rivet patch job on it about 2 years ago ( I know that it isn't structurally as safe as new) But, the inevitable is happening.
The drivers rockers are shot, as is the drivers side floor pan. I used to do some body work, but this would be a major job to weld in new. If there is even enough good metal to weld to. I have had great service from this car with minimal trouble. Is it worth trying to repair this or am I beating a dead horse? I do have access to a welder, but not to a lift. Does anyone make floor pans that can be welded in?
