My 164 was running so good, I gave it to a deserving person. She will get the car on Tuesday. The test drive was great, everything worked.
When it was my turn to restart the car for the ride home, it flooded trying to start. I pulled the wires off the cold start (it needs new wires), foot flat on the floor and managed to get it started. For the next 15 miles in stop and go traffic, it didn't want to use all 6 cylinders during accelleration. It idled fine and maintained speed OK, but give it gas and she bucked and jerked at any speed.
It is also 93 degrees outside and the temp needle is at the top of the green, so I turned the heater on to help cool thing off, and heat me up!
Any ideas on what to look at first? It has a "new" distributer, new plugs/wires, FPR, temp sensors(2) and fuel injector seals. I haven't taken the plugs out yet, I am waiting for the engine to cool down somewhat. I did smell gas in the exhaust.
Thanks,
Klaus
