D-Jet cars flood easily if you pump the gas pedal while cranking them over when hot. Best way to hot start is to not touch the pedal because shifting it from the idle position causes the mixture to go full rich.
The fuel pump can give problems too on a hot day as it is close to the road & the hot air from the engine & exhaust get funneled towards it. Because the tank of gas gets heated as it passes through the fuel rail on the hot cylinder head & gets returned to the tank, low fuel level can make it happen faster & filling up with fresh fuel can make it go away just as fast.
