Red Tek 12a for the a/c?

I just saw an ad for Red Tek 12a as a replacement for freon or R123a for the air conditioning system. Anyone know if it is advisable to use it? Here in Canada we are not permitted to muck around with out a/c systems and cannot buy R123a over the counter. Should I switch or am I asking for trouble?
