Red Tek 12a for the a/c?

Thanks. The web site for Red Tek says that you should first evacuate the a/c system and refill it with pure Red Tex + 1 bottle of sealer. So preferential leakage should not be an issue. The site says that it works for the old R-12 type systems and for the newer R-123a systems. So my question is general. For what it is worth, my car is a 1990 740 that has been converted from R-12 to R-123a. Canadian, eh.
