Firestone Alignment Tale //-----// = !!! 200

Other day I replaced torn ripped up steering rack boots which meant taking off tie rod ends and possibly throwing off alignment. So Today I brought car into Firestone for alignment. $80. Both boots were twisted. Fortunately not damaged. I managed to straighten them out. Steering wheel was crooked/off center. Driving straight steering wheel was 1/4 turn off center. I took off wheel and put back on correctly orientated(had to buy $9 27mm deep socket to do so). When I Complained to Firestone they told me these things were normal and not a big deal. Am I over reacting or are these guys just unprofessional ? I will never go back there nor recommend them.
