Coil Spec, Checking a Coil? 120-130

Bosch coils are supposed to be bullet-proof, but my investigations continue to point to either the coil or my ignition switch. I want to check the coil further before I pull my switch out.

This is a blue bosch coil from a 140-series. This is NOT the original 120 coil with the armored + wire.

Ohms and Volts were measured with a Sperry Mulimeter (not a cheapo RadioShack model). Ignition pulse was measured with an inductive timing light.

Here are my coil symptoms/tested spec.
1) 3-ohms of resistance when cold and disconnected. But only ONE (1) Ohm of resistance when hot (Sounds liek the problem, eh?

2) 12 volts measured across the coil with a multimeter with the ignition switched on.

3) Strong coil pulse when cold, Weak and intermittent coil pulse when hot. (When the Allison/Crane XR700 e-gnition was hooked up). This was a Bosch -009 dizzy

4) NO coil pulse at all when checked with a points dizzy set to .016 gap (also a Bosch -009 dizzy)

The hot/cold coil ohms seem pretty damning...

What else should I be checking on this unit before I consider chucking it in the trash?
