I am working on resurrecting a 122 wagon (67 1/2) that is bit of a Frankenstein. PO had done a Weber conversion, but due to inactivity and zero power and tuning issues, I rebuilt the carb.

I'd received advice, from a respected Volvo guy, that the Weber (a downdraft) would/should run fine and it wasn't worth the hassle/$$ to convert back to SUs. However, it still runs like crap after the rebuilt and no amount of tweaking seems to be able to get it where it needs to be.

I recently received some additional advice, also from a Volvo guy, that it would be better to convert back to SUs.

So, I am putting this out to solicit comments/recommendations/experiences/etc.
