91 240 quits at light

On the last mile of my daily 25 miles commute, my 240 stumbles and quits as it approaches the traffic light just off the expressway. While it would still crank over normally, It would only start after the starter disengaged and would then stumble on for just a few seconds.
After waiting 45 minutes, it did catch and idle normally for 10 to 15 seconds but then again start dieseling and abruptly quit. If I attempted to give it any gas while idling it would also stumble and die.
With the key in the on position there was no voltage coming out of the positive and negative sides of the ignition coil, I double checked my meter off the battery indicting just over 12 volts. I also checked the fuses and their contacts.
My hunch is that it is either the ignition module or perhaps the coil. The CPS was replaced a few years back, but I'm not sure if it's OEM.
I do have a spare module and coil which I will install tomorrow morning. But if I don't figure this out early, I will be stuck having it towed to a repair shop, so any advice would be appreciated here...

As luck would have it, during one of those short stumbling episodes I was able to get the car through the light. Just so happens there was a steep hill just past the light with one of my favorite restaurants at its bottom, where of course my car and I are well known. Not only did I get a free pity meal but a ride home as well. Hopefully Renee will be just as obliging with her car tomorrow.
