91 240 quits at light

Thank you for responding. I do have a Bentley manual, but unfortunately it was in our 940 and not available until this afternoon.. This morning I replaced the CPS with another aftermarket to no avail. I also checked the timing belt alignment. My spare ignition module from my 89 240 unfortunately had that extra seventh pin, though I doubt that's the culprit. I also rechecked the coil. I did get readings this time, but it was a useless effort not having the manual and the specific readouts for the primary and secondary windings. I thought I would remember the values. Unfortunate I keep forgetting that I now have an aphasic 63 year old mind. Hence the well earned username.
In what seemed like another life I was once a skills training coordinator/ instructor for a major defense contractor. responsibilities included testing procedures for components and harnesses. You would think this would still be second nature for me. I do comprehend the theory. It's the application I now have difficulty with. Perhaps you can appreciate the irony.
