was missing; now dead 700 '86

Hi folks; it's been awhile since I last posted.

My '86 745T with 231K has been running great since I had the head rebuilt in March (many minor cracks welded). As part of that job, I replaced the wob˙ly distributor, cap, rotor, wires,plugs and injector seals.

It began missing intermittently 3-4 weeks ago (never has idled smoothly; but this was as if one cylinder wasn't firing some of the time; no change in behavior across RPM range). Quickly got to the point where it was "running on 3" constantly (though couldn't determine any one cylinder to be the culpret, even by removing plug wires)

Diagnostics: all injectors "click" in a steady pattern at idle; resistance is steady across all injectors and within normal parameters; all plug wires working, steadily, as indicated by an inductive pickup timing light; FPR, fuel pump and pre-pump replaced about a year ago (that was my last post--check FI ground wires first!);

Replaced spark plugs and it ran fine, but began to miss again a couple of days later. Wife called this morning from freeway off-ramp; car will start and idle but dies when given gas--apparently coughed and sputtered its way to the off-ramp. I haven't driven it in a few days; but she tells me (now) that it's been missing again. AAA towed it home, where it'll be waiting for me this evening.

HELP?
