volvo 544 hotrod??? 444-544

I am new to the 544's and don't know much about them but I heard of one for sale at a decent price that is supposed to be in good shape and just got this wild notion in my head. I am curious if a b21 engine and m46 transmission in a 544, I'm not asking how easy it will be just if it might fit without cutting much sheet metal. Of course originally I got wide eyed and dreamed of fitting a turbo engine into the 544 but after looking at the engine bay of the 544 realized that would be a futile effort. If the engine swab might some how work I was planning to convert to four wheel discs, custom interior and the works but don't think I'll be dreaming of a volvo powered hotrod 544 if i'm stuck with the old b20 engine in it. I hope this post doesn't terrify those of you out there dedicated to restoration of old bricks and may likely never have a chance to be put into action. Thank you all for your help.
Duff
