air conditioning cert. training from MACS?

Dear board,

If I get my cert from MACS, over the internet, will I have a problem with it being valid? I read about someone having a problem with the certs validity and i would like to avoid that hassle.

I plan on downloading the manual, study, and take the test. Is there a problem with this?
