Well, I don't know if I should be happy or sad. Just got off the phone with the owner and we had a negotiation war and I/he won or lost. He was asking $3900, came down to $3500 but I wouldn't budge from $3200 (up from $2900) so I walked. Wierd how a little thing like $300 can make or break a deal but I would have felt like a schmuck giving $3500 for a car that needed the things this car did plus the things I would have found out later. Did you know that blue book on a '91 4 door is almost 7 grand?
We're going to the "big city" (Phoenix) next week for Thanksgiving holiday. I'll look around for 240's while I'm there but we don't really need a car so I guess that puts me in a better bargaining position.
I wanted to thank all who responded to my previous posts. I appreciate all who took the time to reply, It helped me a lot in keeping my head screwed on straight.
