Strange Dash Switch 200 1988

There is a purple-coloured rocker switch in the switch panel of the dashboard of 'Fido', my 240 GL sedan (So called as it's a bit of a dog- Cruel but True) which looks like a Volvo accessory switch as it fits perfectly, but I am at a loss as to what it for (Force Field? Ejector Seat? Traffic Warden Freezer? Self Destruct?) as it seems not to do anything.

The car has an aftermarket 'Gabriel' adjustable air suspension set up at the rear, where you add compressed air with an air line to get the ride height you want. Is the switch something to do with this?

Hopeful for a helpful reply!
