Questions On My Toy 120-130 1963

Well i have had a 1963 122S Sitting in my garage for a few months now, picked it up for $600 running with only one small small spot of cancer below the drivers side door ( Bondo!! ) Otherwise its a rust free Good Running car, until hehehe i took it out one day for a Spin hehehehe a real spin and noticed the battery light came on, turns out i might have a bad generator, anyone have any clue here if maybe i blew a few or things i could check before i go out and spend the money on a new one? Ive always been a 700 Man so prices and parts are totally diff, i dont know if paying $600 was worth it or i just got a hell of a deal from my buddy? Heres the specs on it it has ( Assumed by spedo ) 140K with a 4 Speed in it, typical 4cyl with the dual carbs ( original engine ) Needs some interior work of course but it isnt thrashed or anyhting and drives great, i replaced just about everything i could replace on the front end suspension ( Much Better Now To Drive ). So im here now looking for advice tips ETC for the first time in the 122 forum side.

Thanks
