If it comes to replacing the generator, locate a shop that rebuilds them. It will cost you a lot less. A larger area should have one of these shops since mechanics love to use them to save a whole bunch of money. Also, an alternator is just a generator with the voltage regulator built-in. So your generator has a separate voltage regulator. Check this as well.
Search on b20 voltage regulator and b20 generator. Also try replacing b20 with b18 or model numbers.
