You can blow your horn (or your nose) just fine on 6V...if you get the full 6V...it's just that the less volts you have to start with, the less forgiving your car will be of ANY voltage loss through a marginal connection. My advice to 6V system owners: Clean and use anti-corrosive paste on every electrical connection you find.
