I own a 85 740 turbo wagon. It has the M46 5 speed transmission. About once or twice a year, I end up putting in another transmission. I presently have my fourth transmission in. I run a decend amount of boost, have a few mods done, but the tranny is the weakest point and either keeps popping out of gear, snapping internaly, or grinding hard. Yes there is plenty of fluid. I am tired of messing around with crappy aluminum Volvo transmissions. I want a stronger, more reliable option. After doing a lot of reading, I see there is a Toyota Supra transmission conversion offered by Dellow Automotive in Australia. I have also read the articles people have posted about how to do it. I am thinking of going this route, for I basically have no other option. I would like to know if anyone has ordered the kit or has put any other manual transmission in their car. I also hear of putting a M90 transmission in, but I need to go to europe to get one. I desperatly need a replacement ASAP. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks, Steve
