think you said it all....
and I would agree the 'racing' clutch is probably to blame...that and driving style...simple physics tells me your dumping a lot of power (250bhp at a guess) through a box that is probably getting marginal on construction with a 'bang' - let me guess you get a lot of wheel spin!...
if you want to look at how to deploy serious amoutns of power take a look at progressive lock up technology clutches...thats what the real serious dragster crowd are into...otherwise they would EXPLODE gearboxes 6000bhp has that effect....
