It's been a long while....but I have a question...... 200

Hi again folks..

I know it's been a LONG while since I've been here, but I want your opinion on something (and please don't boo me out of the forum).

Back in October, I decided to take my 1984 Volvo GL off the road. It needed both front inner tie rods replaced, the a/c was/is shot, and the back tire went flat.....and the jack is useless. I replaced it with another used car that, to put it mildly, is a royal piece of junk (typical Ford product). Yet I can leave my Volvo sitting in the driveway, and it still starts every time I put the key in the ignition, without any problems. The trans works, the steering feels fine, the lights and heat work. I'm amazed.

I'm seriously considering putting the Volvo back on the road, but I have a question or two...

1: I have the inner tie-rod parts for the car....they are still in the trunk. How much should this cost me to have them installed?

2: Since the jack on the Volvo is shot, and I can't change the tire, would I be able to buy one of those "pump action" jacks from Strauss or Pep Boys and use that to put the spare on?

3: How much would the a/c compressor run me?

4: Is it worth getting fixed?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appriecated. I'd much rather be driving Sven again instead of this (censored), clapped out Mercury.

Thanks all!!

Steve
