Hello,
A friend of mine is selling his 744 turbo that's labelled a 760ti. I told him the engine had been swapped, that it originally came with a six cylinder (that's what the middle number means, after all, I told him), but he's insistent that the 760 TURBOs actually came with the regular four cylinder. I think he's wrong, but he insists that every 760 Turbo he's seen has the 4-cylinder in it. His is an eighty six or eighty seven.
He's going to try to get $2500 out of it, but I know that engine downgrade severely cripples the car's value (even though it's in virtually pristine condition otherwise). Am I right in thinking that it was originally the six?
(I feel like a doofus for asking this, becuase I know the cars; however, I'd feel better with some sort of proof to show him.)
I'm thinking about buying it, and he's antsy to sell, so let me know soon!
Thanks
Volfro
