760 engine swap 700

Check out www.volvoworld.com for more info on the 760's.

Their site claims that the car came with 4 different engine combos.

B230F
B230FT
D24Ti
B28/B280

If I were to guess which engines were most commonly placed into a 760, they would be the 4 cyl. turbos and the 6 Cyl PVR engines. That is what I see around here anyways. Oh, since the 760 is badged 'ti' that means that is was a turbo injected vehicle, and hence has a B230FT since the 6c were not turboed based on my understanding.

You can use the Volvoworld site to decode the engine that originally came with the car using the VIN number to eliminate any questions about any particular car you are trying to buy.
