Shocks? 200

Ok I know the remarks I am going to get on this one but here goes.. I have a newly acquired 92 244, found that the left rear shock is missing most of the rod that connects to the lower arm. So since this is going to be the wifes new ride I will replace the shock with inexpensive(I did not say cheap)common brand shocks.. I would like to know if the better of the two choices I have would be the Gabriels or the Monroe Senseamatics? Yea yea yea I know, put on the Bilstein HD's or KYB's ,, No I am not investing what I did to my 89 project car,,and also do not have the time to order them over the net,,,this is just a 7 mile to work car..So no bashing please.. Pretty please? >>>>>>:)Max
