Pulled an engine/tranny from the yard - what should I do before swapping... 700

I pulled an engine and tranny from the yard. The engine was from a 90 w/about 200k miles on it and no signs of oil leaks on the head or block. I'm going to be replacing the engine in my 89 w/this one. The current engine has a rod knock and about 185k miles.

When I pulled the engine from the 90, I missed the kickdown cable and it got pulled out of the tranny when the picker came to hoist it out. Can this be fixed easily?

Also, should I replace any of the seals, etc while the donor engine is out? The timing belt was replaced at 185k (sticker on the cover).

Looking forward to having a quiet engine finally!

Thanks,
Tim
