Earlier today my son-in-law celebrated his new grill for a dozen of us. Nice day for outdoor eating; maybe a tad warm in the sun. I was the first to add mustard to my brat and sauerkraut. When I lifted the snap closure and aimed at the bun it sprayed, not dribbled, for sure. Not an ideal pattern for fuel atomization, but pressure was noted and attributed to the afternoon sun.
I've done that residual test on a couple LH2.4 cars finding it barely budged from 40 pounds after an hour, and had the same experience as you in the yard grabbing a set of injectors. Nothing quite so dramatic as salvaging an A/C compressor.
