I run an 85A Bosch internally-regged unit on my 142 rally car (not sure what it's off - something generic no doubt) and it handles 2 halogen headlights & 4 Cibie SuperOscars (all with 100W globes) without any drama at all.

(The standard Volvo wiring is of course only used to trigger a bank of relays ... all the wiring to the lights has been upgraded)

Cheap "electrical insurance" I reckon .....
