Hello Tim:

I suspect that high price reflects the fact that the dealer is outsourcing the work anyhow (although I may be wrong). I'd look around for a specialty alignment shop-- you'll pay less and get the same or better quality of workmanship. With feathering of the tires, I would expect to replace some steering/suspension components first-- check your tie rod ends and ball joints before taking the car in.
