Ron is right, on my car I has the same behavior using the original generator, a 30 Amp alternator and a 50 Amp alternator (upgrade)...at last the alternators was on good shape at test time (due it, I don't believe the problem come from the alternators)... and that dimly Amp light appear every time the fan is on.

I set a wire from battery to (+) post on alternator (it has the regulator inside) to minimize the dimly light (idea taken from the alternator and alt bracket instalation instructions of IPD).
