starting problems 700 1990

I would start with the distributor. Replacing the cap and rotor will not solve water issues. I would blow the dizzy out with compressed air then spray in WD40 or an electrical connection cleaner.

Next I would clean the connections to the AMM and IAC including the common ground which is located on the block under the intake manifold.

Then clean the connections to the TPS. Get some intake manifold cleaner and clean the throttle body and the IAC.

I do not know which degreaser you used but most will corrupt your connections. Disconnect your positive battery cable while you are cleaning. When everything is back together and you get the car started.....check for codes.
