I had a B-16 in my 61 544 (http://photos.yahoo.com/robsvolvos) It wasn't terrible as far as performance, but it was awfully loud when I throttled hard. I much prefer the B-20 that I have in the car now. Much smoother, quieter, and stronger than the B-16. Best thing to do is try it out for a while and see if you like it and can live with the quirks.
