Generic Problem....Volvo 'related' 140-160

George,

My 145 has always dropped the "James Bond" type smoke screen on hard decelleration and it has been suggested to me that valve stem seals might be the issue. Maybe the machine shop use poor quality seals when doing the head or forgot them altogether? What would the process be for me to install a new set myself? Can the head stay on the block?
