All I can add is that I have a yakima Rakima on my 245 with very similar looking feet, and they *just barely* clear the doors on both side, neither door is sagged. It's close though.

You might see if (in addition to the idea of trying a thinner pad on the hook) seeing if there are different angles it can seat on the gutter when clamping down.
