Playing the Numbers 140-160 1971

Phil,
The car was more of a gutless wonder than I'm willing attribute to the poor BW35 all by its lonely, and oft maligned, self, and the camshaft had a C stamped into its end. I put in a D, and I swear I heard the engine breathe a sigh of relief. Of course, I also had the head spruced up, put in new rings, although not really needed, and swapped in an M41; all of which, I'm sure, helped, but I like to think that cam made the difference. Now, you are, probably, going to tell me that there isn't that much difference between a C and a D cam, but I'm pretty proud of my bit of detective work, so I'll just hang on to my treasured delusion ;-) BTW, George Downs sent me the list I was looking for on a PDF, if you'd like, I could forward it to you.
Cheers,
Bob S.
