RPM and stall

Sounds to me like the rpm sensor in the mount over the top of the tranny is screwed up some how. To go to three grand then shut down is more of an ignition problem or a possible fuel problem. You may need to get to a dealer with a machine to scope this out. Bet you though it's something simple-like wiring
somewhere.
