Sunroof not opening S90-V90

I asked my parts guy at the dealer to ask his best mechanics what they think. Both came back thumbs down to trying to repair it. I may razor off the remaining plastic on the guide and see what happens. A chunk of the plastic is stuck to the "follower" that rides inside the guide slot and that may be preventing it from full movement. I would hate to "fix" this into a leaker, though...
