Sunroof not opening S90-V90

I had this problem on my 96 @ 84K right after I bought it. I had to replace the guides on mine to fix it. I didn't drop the headliner though. I only changed out the front half of the assembly. The trouble is the new guides are just like the old ones (some kind of plastic in the grooves) I haven't had any trouble so far but I don't use it very much. I think it was about $65 fot the kit.
