Turbo in a non turbo car

Lots of people have done this, it's unofficially called a +T conversion. Go to www.turbobricks.org and scout around. Do your research there BEFORE asking any questions, as this one gets asked a lot and there is plenty of info there. You will find discussions of both styles of fuel injection plus aftermarket systems, use of knock sensors (stock and otherwise,) etc. It is not a small project, but quite realistic especially with a donor car. You might indeed find it easier to transplant the engine, that is a small job compared to some of the other parts of the project...
