02 sensor question S90-V90

Question on 02 sensors
Someone set me straight here-as a 02 sensor detects more 0, there is an increase in power from the sensor to the ecu. Like the sensor has voltage rates from.2 to.9 volts-as more 0 comes into the system the sensor creates more voltage and tells the computor to cause the mixture to go richer. Is this correct?
